Wanna join the mafia?

Let’s cut the crap—building a personal brand isn’t about posting selfies with inspirational quotes and hoping someone notices.

(I’m talking to you, Stacey).

It’s about dominating your niche with the finesse of a mafia boss running a neighborhood.

Think of it as your personal hit list for becoming the Tony Soprano of your industry.

And that’s where my ABCx3 Framework comes in…

“A” Is For Applicable Content

Let’s be real— at the start, nobody cares about your morning coffee (unless it’s laced with cyanide).

Your content needs to be applicable.

Meaning it should solve problems or move your audience closer to their goals, not bore them to death.

The more your content hits home, the more followers and clients you’ll rack up.

Think of it like offering free protection in exchange for loyalty.

Actionable Tip:

Next time you post, ask yourself, “Is this solving a problem, or am I just adding to the noise?”

If it’s the latter, delete it faster than you can say “witness protection.”

If you need help generating ideas, go to ChatGPT and enter the prompt:

“This is my target audience [insert details about your target audience].

Make a list of their 50 most common and painful problems.”

Then make content around those topics.

“B” is for Boldness

In a world of beige, be a Molotov cocktail.

If you want to stand out, you need to be bold—like, ‘crashing a black-tie event in a chicken suit’ bold.

But seriously, it’s about being uniquely you.

Steal (not literally, calm down) the best qualities from five creators you admire, mix them up, and create something so unmistakably you that people can’t ignore it.

Actionable Tip:

Write down the top 5 creators you stalk online, figure out what makes them awesome, and then Frankenstein those qualities into your own brand.

The key is to combine elements from multiple creators, not copy one.

We want to build your brand, not get a cease and desist notice.

Cx3 stands for Connected, Credible, Consistent.

Connected

Let’s face it—people don’t follow you just for your content; they follow you because they like you.

Or at least, they like the version of you that you’re selling.

Emotional connection is key.

It’s like forming a cult, (but without the weird sex stuff and death Kool-Aid).

Share stories, opinions, and that twisted worldview of yours.

The more people feel like they know you, the more they’ll stick around—and buy whatever you’re selling.

Actionable Tip:

Share a personal stories, experiences, and worldviews that make people think, “Wow, this person is either a genius or completely nuts.”

Either way, they’ll be hooked.

Credibile

In the world of personal branding, you either have credibility, or you’re a clown in a suit.

And nobody’s taking advice from Bozo The Clown.

Your experience is what sets you apart, so flaunt it.

Actionable Tip:

Brag a little and show your audience why they should trust you, or they’ll find someone else to follow.

Just don’t go overboard, or people might start thinking you’re compensating for something…

Like being 5ft 8 (which I’m definitely not…I’m like 6ft 8).

Consistent

Last but not least, consistency is the glue that holds your brand together.

If you’re not consistent, you’re like that friend who shows up unannounced every six months with a crazy story…

Entertaining, sure, but not exactly reliable.

Consistent content and messaging will make you the go-to authority in your space, or at least the one people talk about when they need a good laugh.

Actionable Tip:

Set a content schedule and stick to it like a serial killer to an alibi.

Whether it’s daily, weekly, or bi-weekly, make sure your audience knows when to expect your next dose of wisdom—or insanity.

So, let’s do a quick recap of the ABCx3 Framework:

Applicable: is your content useful?

Bold: do you stand out from the crowd?

Connected: are you relatable/inspirational?

Credible: can you back up what you say?

Consistent: are you consistent with your messaging?

You’ll not only build a personal brand that’s unforgettable but one that leaves a lasting impression—like a bad tattoo or a memorable crime spree.

So, what’s your next move?

Pick one of these elements to focus on this week and take action.

Your future brand (and your parole officer) will thank you.

To your ruthless success.
