Why pineapple pizza is the key to social media growth
A secret I haven't shared with anyone...

In today’s email, I’m going to break down how to skyrocket the engagement of your social media posts using 1 simple tricks that would’ve melted Ernest Hemingway’s brain if he knew this.
What is it?
Pineapple pizza.
No, this isn’t a shit post.
Pineapple pizza is the key to growth…or at least the principle behind it is.
Lemme show ya the engagement I get on posts I talk about pineapple pizza:

Now, why does this work?
2 reasons…
Reason 1) Some of the most viral content engages one of the most powerful emotions: surprise.
With each of these lists, it starts out serious and I get the reader agreeing with me.
“Yes”
“Yes”
“Yes”
“WTF?”
The pineapple pizza in the list is unexpected because it’s so ridiculous.
It evokes emotion.
The more emotion you evoke with your content = The more engagement.
If you look at any of these posts, majority of the comments are pointing out the out place item on the list.

Reason 2) Polarity.
Pineapple pizza is a topic people love or hate.
Love = A strong emotion.
Hate = A strong emotion.
And remember…
The more emotion you evoke with your content = The more engagement.
Again, look at the comments:

So, how can you put this into practice (even if you’re not a pineapple pizza lover)?
1) When you’re making a list style post, throw in a pattern disrupt in the middle or toward the end.
Think of it as a pattern of yes, yes, yes, yes, WTF?
2) Think of all the polarizing takes you have. List ‘em out on a piece of paper. Then think about how you can incorporate it in your content.
Here’s an example other than pineapple pizza:

But there ya have it, my friend.
Hope this was useful.
