I moved countries to live with 2 strangers
My grandma called me "stupid" for this
I'm standing in my childhood bedroom in Canada, cramming everything I own into two pieces of luggage.
My grandma just asked me a simple question:
"Are you stupid?"
(Yes, she actually said that lol).
The smell of her coffee. The sound of my mom stress-cleaning the kitchen. The weight of everyone thinking I'd lost my damn mind.
All because I was moving countries to live with 2 strangers from the internet.
When Your Own Family Thinks You've Cracked
In 2021, I was a year into my online biz journey.
And to be honest, it was quite lonely.
Few people go off the beaten path to build a business.
My friend viewed it as risky.
My family had a hard time believing you could make money online.
To put it simply, I was the black sheep.
But the thought of working a job I hated for 40 years scared tf outta me.
So when I hired my 1st mentor, Dan Koe, it was refreshing.
And despite Dan being like a foot taller than me… he and I shared similar values and lifestyles.
We got along so well that he offered me to move in with him and his roommate.
Without hesitation, I said yes.
My friends and family thought I was crazy.
Hell, my grandma even asked if Dan was gay and trying to groom me lmao.
But I didn’t care.
Because there was 1 thing that kept me up at night...
What If I Stay And Nothing Changes?
I looked around at my life in Canada.
Same conversations.
Same limiting beliefs.
Same "play it safe" mentality everywhere.
I was the black sheep who spent 80% of my time building my business and social media.
Everyone else?
Getting drunk on Saturday and complaining about their jobs on Monday.
Nothing wrong with that life. It just wasn't mine.
But when I fianlly made the move to Texas in 2022, ambitious people surrounded me.
We pushed each other’s comfort zones, gave each other insights, and had a helluva fun time in the process.
And the result of that 1 decision?
I 5x’d my business revenue.
I 6x’d my social media following.
I completely rewired how I saw myself and what was possible.
Suddenly, my "impossible" goals felt... normal.
Because your environment isn't just where you live.
It's who programs your brain every single day.
If you're surrounded by people who think small, you'll think small.
If you're surrounded by people who make excuses, you'll make excuses.
But if you're surrounded by people who are disciplined, driven, and smart?
Well… you get the point.
Why Most People Never Escape The 9-to-5
It's not because they lack talent.
It's not because they don't want freedom.
It's because they're stuck in environments that reinforce limitation.
Your friends say, "Business is risky."
Your coworkers complain about the boss.
Your family says, "Just be grateful for what you have."
And slowly, you believe them.
Here's What I Want You To Do Right Now
Look at the 5 people you spend the most time with.
Are they growing? Or staying comfortable?
Are they building something? Or just getting by?
Are they supporting your goals? Or telling you to "be realistic"?
If you're like I was, you probably don't have 5 people who truly get your vision.
See, most people think they need more information.
Wrong.
You need a new environment. New people. New conversations.
You need people who don't think you're crazy for wanting to make $10K+ per month writing content
Sure, we show you how to make money writing online…
But you’re also around people who align with your goals, share wins, solve problems together, and hold each other accountable.
So whether it’s my program, someone else’s, or just finding a group of ambitious friends…
Change your environment to match your goals.
I guarantee you’ll change your life.

Giovanni joined Growth Ghost a few months ago.
He was a personal trainer and hadn’t made a dollar online.
Now he’s making $5K/month as a ghostwriter.
We gave him the right systems and guidance…
But more importantly, we gave him the right environment.

Personal Update
Although I no longer live in Texas, I’m heading back there this Friday.
And you best believe I’ll be stuffing my face with some banger BBQ.
But more importantly, seeing Hans Zimmer live.
I’ve been a huge fan of him since 2020, so I’m really looking forward to it.
(might even do some mushrooms for this lol).
