I lured him into my white van

2 weeks ago, I'm sitting in a white van.

But not the kind that lures kids with candy…

The kind that lures friends with good times and adventure (lol).

I’m sweaty, but excited for the 2-hour trek ahead…

In the van sits 14 people, crowded in inside like a can of sardines.

One of those people was Andrew Rodarte.

2 years ago, he was scrolling LinkedIn during his lunch breaks at his job.

Watching other people build the life he wanted:

  • Having the location freedom to take a random trip “Just because.”

  • Having the creative freedom to work on what they enjoyed.

  • Having the financial freedom to take care of their family.

Andrew had the same limiting beliefs as most before building their online business:

  • "I'm not qualified enough."

  • "I don't have experience."

  • "Who am I to charge premium rates?"

But Andrew’s fear of regret was stronger than his fear of failure.

So he took the leap and joined my program to become a ghostwriter.

He didn’t know how, but he told himself, “F*ck it, I’m going to make this work.”

Your Brain vs. Your Balls

The #1 reason people never make money online:

They think with their brain more than using their balls.

Andrew whipped out his nuts and plopped them on the table (enjoy that visual).

Andrew wasn’t a gifted writer…

But he still posted.

Andrew wasn’t an amazing salesman.

But he still got on sales calls.

Andrew wasn’t a top 1% ghostwriter.

But he still worked his ass off for clients.

And you know what?

He started to see results.

Dreams Became Reality

While his coworkers complained about their jobs, Andrew was building.

Before work: Writing LinkedIn posts.

Lunch breaks: Engaging with potential clients.

Weekends: Studying successful ghostwriters.

No fancy degree. No connections. No silver spoon.

Just consistent action while everyone else was making excuses.

That’s why within a few months, Andrew was able to scale his ghostwriting biz to $20K/month.

Today, Andrew is one of the top writers at our ghostwriting business.

We didn’t ask for a resume or have a formal interview.

He already proved himself with the results he got in our program, so hiring him was an easy choice.

But more importantly…

Andrew now has the freedom to take a random trip on a Tuesday to come spend the weekend with Taylin and me in Colombia.

The question isn't whether this path works.

The question is whether you're willing to walk it.

Because right now, you have 2 choices:

1) Keep playing by the old rules and hope someone notices you.

2) Or start building undeniable proof that you're the person they need.

Andrew chose to build.

What will you choose?

Much love and happy Monday.

Your Canadian friend,

Dakota “Balls Over Brains” Robertson

P.S.

I did an interview with Andrew.
