How my balls made $155,000 in 1 month

(Without OnlyFans)

My hands were shaking. My head was pounding.

Not from nerves… but from the hangover.

My mouth tasted like cheap vodka with a hint of regret.

It was July 2022, and I was in the backseat of my friend’s car. We driving back from a music festival the night before.

During that hour-long ride home, my friend, Dan, had an idea…

He wanted to launch a content creation cohort.

When he said this, I was very curious. Dan was the best creator I knew and had already made over $1M from digital products.

I was also 5 months into creating my own ghostwriting cohort, so I knew I’d learn a lot from seeing his process.

I didn’t know it at the time, but I was about to have the most expensive realization of my life.

The Difference Between Creators Who Make $1M and $1

That same night, Dan already outlined the plan for his cohort.

2 weeks later? He launched his cohort, making over $100K.

2 weeks.

I felt like a jackass.

I’d been working on my cohort for 5 months and made a whopping $0.

For those 5 months I was building the “perfect” cohort.

  • Perfecting slides.

  • Anticipating every possible question.

  • Creating modules I thought people would need.

Making everything jussssssst right.

And here’s Dan… who goes from hungover idea to launching his cohort in 2 weeks.

The thing is, I wasn’t being thorough.

I was being a pussy coward.

Every hour I spent “perfecting” my program was an hour I spent avoiding the one thing that terrified me:

Putting myself out there and having someone say “this sucks.”

I hid behind preparation. I told myself I was being strategic. Professional. Smart.

But my perfectionism was just procrastination in disguise.

The funny thing is, Dan’s cohort wasn’t even finished when he sold people into it.

He created week 1, sold people in, got their feedback, then created week 2 based on what they actually needed. Rinse and repeat for the next 3 weeks.

Meanwhile, I was still perfecting module seven of a program nobody had bought yet.

That’s when it hit me…

I Was Overusing My Brain and Underusing My Balls

Every successful person I knew had the same pattern.

They had an idea and would execute before their self-doubt kicked in.

They iterated based on reality, not theory. They were comfortable looking stupid in the short term to get smart in the long term.

They used their balls more than their brains.

So when January 2023 rolled around, I made a decision.

I was going to do exactly what Dan did.

  1. Create the first week for the cohort.

  2. Sell people into the program.

  3. Use the anxiety of letting people down as fuel to stop procrastinate and get shit done.

To be honest, I was scared.

  • What if nobody buys and I look like an idiot?

  • What if people buy and I can’t deliver results?

  • What if I’m not ready and this whole thing crashes and burns?

But I knew if I didn’t launch it now, I never would.

So, I on January 4th, 2023, I launched the world’s first ghostwriting cohort, Growth Ghost.

The result?

I made $155,000 in 30 days.

And because I built based on what real people with real money actually needed, not what I thought they needed?

The members got results like this:

Now, do I say this to flex?

Yes, now plzzz buy my $997 course that’ll get you rich quick!!!

Jokes aside, I show you this because your brain will always find a reason to wait.

To plan more. To be “ready.” It’ll disguise fear as strategy.

But the market doesn’t reward those with brains. It rewards those with balls to take imperfect action.

Because I guarantee 1 week in the arena will teach you more than 4 months of preparing.

So think about what you’re avoiding right now by “preparing.”

That client outreach you’re perfecting instead of sending.

That offer you’re tweaking instead of testing.

That content you’re editing for the fifteenth time instead of posting.

You’re not perfecting. You’re scared.

And I get it…

I was there. Sitting in my room, convinced that if I just planned a little more, I’d avoid the pain of rejection or failure.

But here’s the truth: you’re going to fuck up either way.

You’ll either fail while taking action and learning something.

Or you’ll fail by never starting and learning nothing.

One of those failures moves you forward. The other keeps you exactly where you are.

So stop mentally masturbating.

Just build week one and launch the damn thing.

Your brain got you this far. Now let your balls take you the rest of the way.

Dakota “Balls Over Brains” Robertson

Here’s a sexy pic of Dan at the music festival we went to ;)
