The hidden social media opportunity of 2024
Remember TikTok back in 2020?
Most creators ignored it because they thought it was a platform for kids and silly dances.
But those who saw the opportunity for growth?
ALL OF THEM and their grandmas were going viral and growing by hundreds of thousands of followers.
It was hands down the best social media to grow on.
But now?
The days of easy growth are gone.
But what if I told you there’s a new opportunity in 2024 that’s the equivalent of TikTok 2020?
A social media platform where you’re early to the party.
And if you get started now, your growth will be easy and the rewards will be high.
So, if you’re:
A writer
A creator
An entrepreneur
And want to grow to 10,000 followers as fast as possible and make thousands of dollars in the process…
I’m going to show you the best social media platform to grow on in 2024 and give you an exact roadmap to take advantage of it.
So, what is this mysterious social media platform and what do you have to do to grow on it?
It isn’t by doing stupid dances on TikTok.
It’s not by shaking your booty on Instagram.
And it sure in the hell isn’t on Facebook with your old aunt Janine.
One of the best social media platforms to grow on right now is on LinkedIn.
Now, I know what you might be thinking…
“LinkedIn? Isn’t that for old people and office workers?”
Well, yes…
But not for long.
Let me explain why this is one of the best social media platforms to grow on right now.
So, LinkedIn is classified as a “business social media platform”.
And because of this, most people think of it as boring or for old people.
But just like TikTok a few years ago…
This is the EXACT reason it’s amazing for growth right now.
There are over 950 millions users on LinkedIn, but only around 3 million users create content on a weekly basis.
And only a fraction of those 3 million users create good content.
This means:
1) Less competition
2) More growth
At least before the secret gets out.
So, I’m going to lay out a 7 step plan to grow your LinkedIn as fast as possible.
It’s the same roadmap I’ve used to grow my following to 44,364 in under 10 months.
But just like any other gold rush, this won’t last for long, so make sure to read until the end.
The First (And Overlooked Step) to Grow On LinkedIn Fast
Before you do anything with LinkedIn, you need to turn on the Creator Mode setting.
This gives you:
Exclusive tools and insights
More customization options for your profile
More reach on your posts and makes it easier to grow
Just Google “How to turn on creator mode on LinkedIn” and it’ll show you how.
This will set you up for the next step that’s crucial for your LinkedIn growth.
How to Optimize Your Profile for Followers
Now, once you’ve turned on Creator Mode, the 2nd step to growing on LinkedIn fast is to optimize your profile.
There are 5 key elements of a solid LinkedIn profile:
The picture
The bio
The banner
The about section
The featured section
For your LinkedIn profile picture:
Use a high-quality camera and get a clear picture of your face from the chest up.
This will ensure you’re easily seen on the feed and help you stand out.
For your LinkedIn bio, use this formula:
[Keyword related to your niche] + [Topics You Talk About] + [Benefit-Focused Value Proposition]
For your LinkedIn banner:
Create a simplistic design on Canva or Figma and summarize your value proposition.
For your LinkedIn about section:
Talk about your experience and credibility within your field.
If you don’t have much, write a few sentences about what you’re currently working on.
And finally, for your LinkedIn featured section, link one or two things you want people to check out.
This could be your website, a paid consulting call, your newsletter, or anything else.
So, now that you have your LinkedIn profile set up, it’s time for the fun part.
Generating Endless Content Ideas With Ease
The key to growing on social media is creating relevant content for your audience.
And since most of the people on LinkedIn are professionals, actionable content that solves their pain points is what typically resonates best.
So…
If you’re a writer, post writing tips.
If you’re a marketer, post marketing tips.
If you’re a fitness account, post fitness tips.
And if you need help with generating ideas on what to post on LinkedIn, go to ChatGPT and type in the following prompt:
“My target audience is: [describe your target audience].
Give me a list of their 25 most common pain points.
Reverse each of these pain points into ‘how to statements’ I can turn into actionable pieces of content.”
ChatGPT will give you a list of ideas you can turn into content.
And since these ideas are focused on your target audience’s pain points, they’ll be more interested in consuming your content.
So, once you have a content idea, research and write all the steps required to solve that pain point.
Talk about:
What the point is
Why it’s important
How to apply it
But it’s not enough to know what to write about…
You need to know how to present it.
Lemme show you what I mean:
How to Steal Attention on LinkedIn
So, step 4 to growing on LinkedIn fast is to turn your content into carousels.
LinkedIn carousels are when you take the content you’ve written and put them on a group of sexy-looking images.
This catches more attention and gets favored by the algorithm.
To create a LinkedIn carousel, type in “LinkedIn carousel templates” into Google.
Pick a template you like and insert your content on top of the carousel images.
The first carousel should have a big, eye-catching headline that teases what your post is about.

Keep it simplistic and tease a benefit or how to solve a pain point.
For each of the LinkedIn carousel slides after the first, they should have a dedicated slide for each step or tip.
At the end of the carousel, use a call to action to tell people to follow you.
But don’t post it before doing this next step.
This will help bring in a ton more followers.
How to Build Die-Hard Fans
So the 5th step to growing on LinkedIn fast is to post a transformation story.
A transformation story is how you went from one pain point to a desired outcome.
This can be:
Fat to fit
Dumb to wise
Poor to wealthy
Or it can be a simple realization you had that changed your perspective on something.
The point is to tell a story.
We want to tell stories because this gives your LinkedIn content depth, connects you with the reader, and separates you from everybody else.

So, in the description of your carousel post, you can follow this simple 5-step story framework:
The hook (a sentence or two that captures people’s attention)
The inciting incident (what sparked the change)
The journey (what challenges you faced)
The support (acknowledge people or resources that supported you during this period)
The outcome (talk about the transformation you went through and the lesson learned)
It doesn’t have to be super long.
Just try to hit on each of these points and mention any keywords that are related to what the post is about.
So, your post is ready, but it’s going to fail miserably unless you follow this next step:
A Simple Trick to Skyrocket Your Engagement
So the 6th step to growing on LinkedIn fast is to get traffic to your profile.
You can have the best content in the world, but if nobody sees it, it’s useless.
Now, when I say “traffic” I’m referring to eyeballs - people seeing your content.
More traffic = More followers.
So, there are 3 ways you can get more traffic on LinkedIn.
These all involve comments.
Because when a LinkedIn account comments on your post, a fraction of their audience will be shown your post.
So the first way to get comments on your posts is to comment on other people’s posts.
This method is free and one of the best ways to make a name for yourself.
Here’s how to do it:
Find 10-50 accounts with over 1,000 followers within your niche
Bookmark their profile and check their feed daily
Comment on their latest post with a personal anecdote or insight
Repeat daily
Many of the people you comment on will begin commenting on your posts in return.
As well, some of their followers will see your comments and check out your profile.
The 2nd method to getting more traffic to your LinkedIn profile is through an engagement group.
This method is when you find 5-10 other people on LinkedIn who are trying to grow and creating a group chat where you trade comments on each other’s posts.
This method works well because the more everyone in your engagement group grows, the bigger the effect it has.
And the 3rd method to getting more traffic to your LinkedIn profile costs money, but is one of the best ways to grow.
This method is paying for comments from big accounts.
So, some of the bigger creators on LinkedIn will sell comments to people looking to grow.
This can get you a ton of exposure on your posts and grow you rapidly if your content is good.
Most people don’t advertise that they sell comments on LinkedIn, so it can take a little bit of time to find them.
But typically they’ll be people creating content consistently and have over 50,000 followers.
You can shoot them a DM and ask if it’s something they offer.
LinkedIn Rapid Fire Best Practices
This is a long newsletter, so out of respect of your time, I’m gonna summarize the best practices:
Comment 10-25 times a day. This will build your network and help you form valuable relationships with other cool people, which will help you grow.
Post 3-7 times a week. Follow a posting schedule you can stay consistent with while not burning out.
Post in the morning. Most people check LinkedIn in the morning and on their lunch break. I post around 8am EST.
Weekdays are typically the best days to post. LinkedIn is a work platform, so people are mainly browsing it during work hours. Weekends are typically the worst days to post.
There’s an option to get endorsements on LinkedIn. Endorsements are when people write a small blurb on your profile where they praise you. Try to get at least 5 people you know to give you endorsements. This will add to your credibility and help increase your LinkedIn follower conversions.
So there you have it boys and girls.
