He's 15. What's your excuse?

Last week, I got a weird-ass call.

It was my Growth Ghost program advisor.

“Yo, I got a 15-year-old on a call with his dad. Can you make sure he gets everything he needs to start?”

My first thought?

At 15, I was rage-quitting Call of Duty, jerking off, and YouTubing “how to talk to girls.”

This kid wanted to become a ghostwriter.

So naturally, I was intrigued.

A day later, I’m on Zoom with this kid, Vaughn.

And I swear to God…

This 15-year-old was more put-together than most dudes in their 30s.

He was polite. Asked smart questions. Had actual goals.

And then he hit me with this:

“I’m kinda scared to post on LinkedIn. My dad’s network is on there. I feel like I’ll get found out or something.”

Boom.

That fear? That’s what wrecks most beginners.

They’re not scared of posting..

They’re scared of being seen posting.

  • Scared of peers snickering.

  • Scared of friends texting, “You good, bro?”

  • Scared of failing in public.

So they wait for the perfect moment.

Until their writing is “good enough” and “feel ready.”

(Spoiler: that moment never comes.)

The people who win?

  • They post anyway.

  • They look cringe.

  • They get 3 likes.

But most importantly, they keep going.

And eventually, they become the person others are scared to compete with.

I told Vaughn this on our 1-1 onboarding call (with some advice on how to position himself).

And you know what this stud did?

Took action within a few hours.

And the results of his 1st post?

He’s showing up. Learning fast. Kid’s gonna be a killer by the time he’s old enough to drive lol.

So if a 15-year-old can push past the fear of looking stupid…

What’s stopping you?

Personal Update

I landed in Chicago just last week.

Been hitting up some banger 3-Michelin star restaurants (highly recommend Kasama).

But goddamn, going from Colombia to here has been a violent assault on my wallet lmao.

If you got any recommendations on things to do in Chicago, shoot me an email!
