I've got many beginners in online biz who reach out to me asking me the same question...

"Dakota, what childhood trauma did you go through to make you love pineapple pizza so much?"

Well, that's a question for another day.

Because in this email, I'm going to give you the step-by-step roadmap to making $10K/month online.

Step 1: Learn a valuable skill

To make money, you have to become valuable.

Here are some off the top of my head:

• SEO• Sales• Funnels• OnlyFans??• Web design• Copywriting• Ghostwriting• Email marketing• Lead generation• Fitness coaching

But there are a ton more.

Just go on Google or YouTube and type in "valuable online skills" and you'll get hundreds of ideas.

Once you find a skill that interests you, research it more.

It's okay if you're not 100% set on it. As you learn more and apply what you learn, you'll get a better idea if it's a fit for you.

Step 2: Do a deep dive

Now that you've found a skill that interests you, spend 40+ hours learning everything you can about it.

• Watch YouTube videos • Read books• Read articles• Buy a course or two

Take notes and start building your understanding.

It's important to understand that you do NOT need to be an expert. You just need to have an understanding of the basics.

You become an expert over time from experience. You can only get that from starting.

Step 3: Craft an offer

Your offer is what customers get from you in exchange for money.

So, how do you figure out what customers want?

Ask yourself who you want to offer your services to.

Then, talk to them and ask what their problems are. You can also search forums and other areas of the internet.

Now, craft your offer in a way that solves those problems (crazy idea, I know).

When crafting your offer, it's also important to be specific on what the customer will get.

Bad offer: "I'll grow your Twitter account."

Good offer: "I'll grow your Twitter by 10,000 followers in 90 days. If I don't get you those 10K followers in that time period I'll work for free until I do AND get you an additional 2500 followers."

Notice the difference between the two offers?

The 1st one is vague. The customer doesn't know what they're going to get. It's a gamble.

Because of this, they don't know how to value the offer, thus decreasing the chances they'll pay you, and if they do, it probably won't be much. It's seen as a risk.

The 2nd offer is much better. It answers 3 important questions:

1. What do I get? 10,000 Twitter followers.

2. How long will it take? 90 days.

3. How risky is it? None. You're guaranteed to get your desired outcome.

Now, there's definitely more to a great offer, but these are the basics.

I highly recommend you pick up the book $100M Offers by Alex Hormozi. It gives you everything you need to know about how to craft an amazing offer you can charge a lot of money for.

If you don't want to spend 99 cents on the book, you can also just YouTube it.

Step 4: Land a client

Now that you have a skill + an offer, you can reach out to people and offer your service.

The easiest way to do this?

Ask friends and family if they know anyone who's looking for someone with your skill.

Chances are, someone is. And because you have a mutual connection, you're more likely to land them as a client.

If you can't land a client through friends or family, no worries. Instead, you can do outreach 50+ times a day.

Not sure how to do outreach?

Search in YouTube "how to do outreach."

Once you get people expressing interest in your offer, you're going to schedule a call and explain to them why they should give you money for your service.

Don't know how to do a sales call?

Guess what you're going to do...

Correct! Go on YouTube and type in "how to do a sales call."

Step 5: Deliver great results and get a testimonial

Now the fun part...

You're going to get results for your clients. And yes, you will get great results because you spent 40+ hours learning that skill. Trust me, you got this.

In fact, you're going to do such a great job, that once you deliver on your offer you're going to ask for a testimonial from your client.

You can offer a discount or give them something extra in exchange for it. But often times, they'll do it for free.

Now you can use that testimonial to show other potential clients and sell to them easier + charge higher prices.

Conclusion

Now this is by no means an extensive deep dive, but it's the basic framework that will get you to $10K/month. All it takes is some initiative and a willingness to learn.

If you can search stuff on YouTube and apply it, you can make money online.

Skill + offer + outreach + results = $$$
