How I closed a $6654/month deal by saying "no."

Today I'm gonna talk about an important lesson I've learned since starting my business.

Howdy friends. Today I'm gonna talk about an important lesson I've learned since starting my business.

Knowing when to say "no."

In a previous email 2 weeks ago, I talked about turning down a $12,000 deal.

I turned it down because the perceived workload would be too high for my current situation.

I valued my time and mental health over the pay check.

And I'm glad I did.

Why?

Because I'm fortunate to be in the position where I have a supply vs. demand issue. Demand is high for my ghostwriting services and my supply is limited.

When you're in this position, you have multiple benefits:

1) You come across as less needy on sales calls, which leads to increased deals closed.

2) You don't need peoples' money, so you can ask for more higher prices.

3) Since you're charging high prices, you have more capital to work with. This allows you to invest more into your service to deliver crazy results for clients.

4) Since you deliver crazy results for clients, you stand out from all your competition.

For example, this is the results I've gotten for a ghostwriting client recently. And I've only been working with him for 15 days.

But this leads me to what happened recently...

I was referred someone else to me for ghostwriting. I hopped on a 10 minute call with them to see if we were a good fit.

They needed someone who could deliver crazy results fast and I was the guy for that.

On the call, I told him my price.

"Okay." he said.

Kinda surreal, not gonna lie haha.

Now, this brings me back to what I talked about earlier...

If I accepted the $12,000 deal a few weeks ago, I wouldn't have had the capacity to take this higher-paying client on. I would have been too busy with my workload.

Saying "no" to the wrong opportunity allowed me to say "yes" to the right one.

And that's what I want you to take away from this email.

In the beginning, say "yes" to a lot of opportunities to grow. But learn to say "no" to keep growing.

Trust me, I know how much of a grind it can be in the beginning. But once you get better, deliver crazy results, and learn to sell, you'll be in an amazing position.

And that's all I got for ya'll today. I hope you have a fanfrickintastic day and absolutely crush it.
