$40,000/month to write tweets?

I’m going to give you a quick walkthrough on how I helped Taylin Simmonds hit $40,000 per month within 6 months of ghostwriting coaching.

He went on to hit $60K-$70K with ghostwriting later on.

So, I “met” Taylin on Twitter around March 2022.

A few months in, I ended up coaching him to become a ghostwriter.

At the time, he was a college professor making $42K/year and wanted to grow a personal brand.

But months into ghostwriting?

He began making his yearly salary in a month.

The Problem With "Ghostwriters"

The main problem with “ghostwriters” is that they don’t know how to grow their own account.

If you hire one, it’s like having a fat personal trainer.

So, first thing we did was fix Taylin’s account to get him growing (the right way).

We did this by fixing 2 things:

1) His content

2) His profile

The 3 Pillar for Engaging Content

Before working together, Taylin was trying to be a broad self-improvement account for everyone.

This is a poor strategy because you blend in with everyone else and don’t show that you’re competent at anything.

And If people think you’re incompetent…

Why would they follow or buy from you?

So, to separate himself from everyone else, I taught him my G-A-P Framework:

Post growth content (popular tends + people) to stay top of mind.

Post authority content (actionable advice + social proof) to show competence to potential clients.

Post personal content (stories + worldviews) to create relatability with your audience.

You have around 15 seconds to convert a profile viewer to a follower.

If your profile isn’t optimized, you’re missing out on thousands of followers.

Taylin’s profile picture and banner were solid, but his bio was trash.

Before working together, Taylin’s bio was:

Broad
Vague
Wordy

We fixed it by plugging in a simple framework:

[What you do] + [Social proof backing up your competence]

My Viral Writing Framework

Now that we fixed Taylin’s content + profile, I showed him how to go viral using my writing frameworks.

His threads went from results on the left to results on the right.

When writing tweets, use my “What, Why, How Framework.”

This simplifies your writing and triggers dopamine in the reader because it’s a complete thought.

1st part: state what you’re talking about.

2nd part: state why it’s important

3rd part: give actionable advice on how they can use it

How to Make Money From Ghostwriting

After I taught him the art of ghostwriting, I taught him the business.

First, we started with his offer.

We kept it simple:

Specific audience
Quantifiable result + benefit
Specific time frame
Risk reversal

Once he had his offer in place, he was ready to take on clients.

So, I sent leads his way and gave him a sales script as a guideline:

Find out why the prospect is on the call
Discover what problem they have, where they want to go, and ultimately, if you can help them achieve that
Overcome objections before they come up by asking questions
If you can help, show how your offer is the bridge between their current pain point to their desired result
State your price and stfu

Right away, Taylin was landing clients for $2,000 and $3,000 a month.

Within 2 weeks, Taylin was at $10,000/month.

Within 2 months, Taylin was at $25,000/month.
