The 1 thing that allows me to charge $6600/month per client
There's 1 thing separating you from making $100/month and $10K a month...
Alright boys and gals, I’m gonna talk about the most important part about making money online...
Your offer.
This is what your client gets for the money they pay you.
I’ve been operating my business since November. In that time, I’ve gone through a ton of different iterations for what I offer clients.
And although I’m a ghostwriter, the principles of a strong offer apply to any business.
The reason I’m writing this email is because I see a ton of people struggling to land clients. Even if they do, they aren’t able to charge high prices. But if you avoid these mistakes, you’re going to get ahead of 95% of people on Twitter.
If you don’t implement the advice below, you’re going to blend in with everyone else. When this happens, you’re only left with one option...
Competing on price.
This means lowering your price more than your competitors.
Honestly, you're better off starting an OnlyFans instead of that.
This is no beuno.
When you lower your price, you’re forced to lower the value of your offer. This results in crappy pay for you and crappier results for clients. Lose/lose situation.
So, how do you avoid this?
You're not paid for what you do. You're paid for the results you get.
1. Quantify your offer
Quantifying your offer is crucial because it gives you and your client a way to measure results.
What sounds more appealing?
1) “I’ll grow your Twitter following.”
or
2) “I’ll grow you by 1,000 followers every 30 days.”
The 1st offer is horrible. How is the client supposed to know if you’re worth paying? “Growing” could mean 100 followers or it could mean 10 followers. Hell, they don’t even know how fast you’ll grow them.
The 2nd offer gives prospects an idea of what to expect. They can measure the quantity of what they’ll get AND measure when they’ll get it.
2. Offer a guarantee
The biggest reason people don’t buy is because of risk. They’re scared of spending money but not getting what they paid for.
This is where your guarantee comes in.
There are many forms of guarantees, but my favourite is guaranteeing a result and offering a bonus if you don’t get them there.
For example, “I guarantee to grow your account to 10,000 followers in 60 days. And if I don’t get you there in the 60 days, I’ll work for free until I do, plus get you an extra 3000 followers.”
Client gets the result either way and you don’t have to worry about offering a refund.
Win/win.
3. Charge “high” prices
Yes, you read that right. Believe it or not, your clients want you to charge “high” prices.
Why?
When you charge “high” prices, you can deliver 10x more value than the competition.
Think about it...
A ghostwriter offers their service for $500/month.
I offer my service for $6800/month.
How is the other ghostwriter supposed to grow their client? They have no money to pay for retweets or hire writers to produce more content. So not only is the ghostwriter getting paid practically nothing, their client isn’t getting results.
Lose/lose.
And this leads me to my main point...
Your client is paying for results. In order to get big results, you need to get paid well. So, offer a big result, ask for a “high” price, and deliver more value than they pay for.
Win/win.
And I know what you may be thinking.
“What if they’re not willing to pay a high price??”
Stop trying to sell to broke people.
Sell a higher quality service to fewer (but more high-quality) people.
Trust me, it makes life so much easier.
And there you have it ladies and gents. Fix these 3 big mistakes and I guarantee you’re going to see solid results. I know there’s a lot to learn in business, hell I’m still trying to figure out a lot. But stick with it, iterate on what works, and I promise you’ll see some crazy results in the next few months.
I wish you well, my friend. Have a kickass Thursday.
Your Canadian friend,
Dakota Robertson
