You're an imposter (and that's a good thing)
If you've experience imposter syndrome, read this.
It was June of 2021 when my life changed forever.
I was in a coffee shop and on a call with a potential copywriting client.
The internet connection was shitty, my heart was racing, and I had no idea what in the f#%k I was doing.
But by some divine miracle, the Giga Chads in the sky were looking out for me.The prospect told me she wanted to work with me.
"Holy shit..." I thought to myself.
I was amazed. Someone valued my "expertise" enough to pay me a whole whopping $250.
But shortly after getting off the call, my stomach sank and a surge of anxiety slapped me.
There was a problem...
I felt like an imposter
I knew I was a decent writer, but in my head, a negative voice wouldn't shut up.
"Can I actually do this?" would play over and over in my mind.
I wish I could say I looked in the mirror, had a pep talk, and everything was fine and dandy...
But honestly, I doubted myself the whole time during that project.
I must have spent a good 18 hours researching, writing, editing, deleting, and rewriting.
However... I finished the project. Was it the best copy in the world? Nah. But it was solid for a beginner. Worth a helluva lot more than $250.
So, why am I telling you this story?
• Wondering what you're doing.
• Feeling like you're not good enough.
And that's a good thing...
You're supposed to feel like an imposter.
So I acknowledged the feeling, did the best work I could, and published the tweets and threads for the client.
The result?

6000+ likes on the 1st thread and 2000+ followers in 2 days.
All because I said "screw it" and embraced being an imposter.
Now I have a new identity, a better one.
Anxiety turned into confidence.
And because of this, I was able to use that confidence and land a different client for $25,000.
From $250 clients to $25K clients within a year.
Now, I'm not saying it's easy, but I am saying it's normal.
You're doing something you've never done before. Your brain is trying to protect you from "danger" and "failure."
But realize, this is necessary for long-term confidence and your evolution as a person. By the end of it, you'll be stronger for pushing ahead despite your feelings.
So, my friend, embrace the feeling of being an imposter.
Because you are ;)

P.S.
If you feel like an imposter as a writer and want to build your confidence + skills, my friend Charles (WritingToRiches) just released a new course.
In it, he breaks down the fundamentals of persuasive writing, viral tweets, and copywriting principles.
He's one of the most competent writers I know and has delivered a high-quality course with no fluff.
He also hooked me up with a $100 discount code for ya'll. But only for the 1st 200 people to order. He also gave me this code a day ago, so realistically there's probably like 20 or 30 codes left.
If you're interested, click the link here to get your discount. Use code "launch" at checkout.
This is also an affiliate link by the way, so you support my coffee shop addiction if you order through the link.
