You got an STD
Dr. Dak will cure you
I remember my first STD.
It started harmless enough…
A little excitement, a little thrill—nothing serious, right? But before I knew it, it spread everywhere.
It made me feel distracted, unfocused, and, honestly, kind of dirty.
And the worst part?
I wasn’t the only one infected.
Turns out, this thing is everywhere.
A silent epidemic ruining lives…
Hell, you probably have it to.
Now, before you go googling symptoms or blaming your sketchy Tinder hookup...
I’m not talking about that kind of STD.
Nope.
I’m talking about something more deadly…
But before I reveal wtf the STD is:
A quick plug for the homie, Kieran Drew.

The Silent STD Epidemic
Since I was 19, I’ve had the intense desire to have the freedom to travel the world, wake up when I wanted, and live life on my terms.
No bullshit job.
No miserable co-workers.
No debating whether to order extra guac because of the price.
So naturally, I stumbled across the infamous self-help and online biz space.
And that’s where I found countless gurus talking about how their way of making money online was the best (and only) way.
So, I tried many side hustles:
Day trading…
Web design…
Amazon FBA…
iPhone repair…
Flipping items on eBay…
And had nothing to show for it after 4 years.
Now, this is where most people would blame the gurus and label them a “scam.”
But truthfully…
The gurus weren’t to blame.
I was.
Why?
I was infected with the STD: Shiny Thing Disorder
Well, lemme know if this sounds familiar:
You discover a new opportunity
You try it out for a few weeks
Progress isn’t as fast as you’d hoped
Your motivation inevitably wears off
You give up because “the business model just doesn’t work”
Repeat step 1
That’s Shiny Thing Disorder in all its glory.
A never-ending loop of dabbling, quitting, and convincing yourself that this time it wasn’t your fault.
But look, I’m not about to go David Goggins on your ass and tell you to “jUSt wORK hARdER MOFO.”
The solution is actually a lot easier (and more fun)…
How To Cure Your STD
After failing at multiple businesses, I finally found success with ghostwriting.
Sure, I wasn’t writing gold and pissing rainbows with it right away…
But I loved writing, so it was rewarding and fulfilling.
So the work didn’t feel like work.
The challenges that came up felt like a fun puzzle to solve (and one that paid a lot better).
To find fulfillment and make it rain with the dolla dolla bills, you need 2 things:
A skill that’s in demand.
Interest in the skill.
Most people never succeed with their online business because they chase the money but ignore what their interests.
Then they inevitably end up quitting because the work feels like, well, work.
For me, I loved to write, so ghostwriting was the perfect fit. But for you it might be completely different.
So here’s what I recommend:
Make a list of your favorite social media accounts.
Look at what they’re selling.
Find at least 5 other social media accounts with 20K+ followers selling a similar service to validate the offer.
Research more about the business model on YouTube and Google to see if it’d interest you.
Consume free content or pay to learn from someone who’s done what you wanna achieve.
Commit to it for 1 year.
Boom.
I just cured your STD.
You’re welcome.
Happy Thursday lol.
Your Canadian friend,
Dakota “STD” Robertson
