A video I haven't shared with anyone:
On self-doubt
I was talking to one of the students in my cohort a couple days ago.
During the 1 on 1 call, he told me how he has gotten to know me from the cohort and podcasts he watched.
From that, he referenced how I’m “crystal clear” on my path and how I have an “unwavering mindset.”
But that’s when I realized I made a mistake…
I wasn’t showing the “chinks in my armor” as much as I should be.
Because there are many things I screw up (I’ll show you in a video at the end):
• Sometimes I overthink
• Sometimes I procrastinate
• Sometimes I worry about what others think about me
It’s easy to flex the achievements, lifestyle, and show our best self on social media, but it’s more important to show what we fear:
Vulnerability.
We see it as a weakness and something to hide.
Because God save us if we get “found out.”
But ask yourself, what kind of impact do you want to have?
Sure, if you only wanna make sales, flex your wins 24/7.
But if you want something more? What if you want to create actual change in someone’s life?
Because flaunting your accomplishments isn’t going to help people when they face challenges. When they feel alone and hopeless.
That’s why Spider-Man, Batman, and other superheros are loved worldwide.
Because despite their flaws and facing adversity, they still triumph.
And that’s more than interesting.
It’s inspirational.
So, talk about your struggles, fears, and the behind the scenes.
Be that hero for someone else.
Much love and happy Thursday.
