I need to clear something up.

The plot thickens...

Last week, I had a client message letting me know I’d been plagiarized.

If you’re reading this, you might recall me sending out an email calling out Sean Ferres last week.

I spent weeks working on my VSL and writing the copy (and dedicated many months to getting my clients results), just to have it ripped off.

I’m the stereotypically nice Canadian, but not when it comes to this kinda stuff.

So I put him on blast in my newsletter and made everyone aware of what happened.

I also DM’d him on Instagram to confront him.

And this is where I need to straighten some stuff out:

I thought Sean was full of shit when I messaged him.

He claimed he had no idea what I was talking about when I referred to the plagiarism. That none of this made any sense.

But I didn’t understand how 6 parts of my VSL, my copy, and multiple client results had been ripped off and published on a live site.

And the fact that when I messaged him, the plagiarized copy and results had been taken down.

I was convinced he was bullshitting me.

And after talking back and forth, he told me he got to the bottom of everything:

He hired a freelancer to design his funnel and rewrite his VSL. That freelancer was the one who plagiarized my VSL.

And they also swiped my copy and client results, but somehow managed to publish it on Sean’s site.

Honestly, I thought this story was complete bullshit when I heard it lol.

And I was ready to go on a full tirade on all my social medias putting this guy on blast.

But I wanted to talk with him on a video call first and poke holes in his story. So we scheduled a meeting for later in the week.

I even made a list of questions in my to-do list lmfao.

When I got on the call with Sean, I was VERY skeptical and grilled him with questions.

But he stuck with the story he told me.

So I asked for proof and for him to show me the messages he exchanged with the freelancer he hired.

And to my surprise, he did.

The messages showed that he had no idea what was going on and contacted the freelancer asking what my DM was all about on Instagram.

It also showed Sean giving the freelancer shit for plagiarizing my stuff.

And to be honest, after seeing that, I was persuaded that this really was all a big misunderstanding.

Yes, my stuff was plagiarized.

But no, it was not Sean Ferres who did it.

I’ve hired people in the past who misrepresented me in a bad light before, so I can relate to how frustrating this is for him.

On the call, Sean seemed like a stand-up guy. Unfortunate that this was our first interaction.

So today, I just wanted to take the time to straighten things out.

If you want Sean’s side of the story, you can read his post on it here: [link]

Hope y’all have a kickass Thursday.
